Our Autumn lawn treatment is a foliar feed meaning that it is applied directly to the leaves and gets absorbed quickly. Minerals are the equivalent of the vitamin supplements that we take in during winter to ward off colds and flu. The Autumn treatment strengthens the grass and helps keep the moss in check by dehydrating it and therefore effectively controlling it.
We use an organic seaweed lawn treatment which helps unlock nutrients that have become locked in the soil. Seaweed has been used as a soil improver by farmers and gardeners for centuries. Our seaweed is from a sustainable source off the West coast of Ireland and contains many of the micronutrients that plants need but that are not always available in the soil. Seaweed also contains alginates, a well-known ‘clay improver’ and also help to hold water in the topsoil.
Our autumn lawn treatment is included across all our lawn care programmes.
Autumn is also a good time to consider having the lawn scarified to remove moss and thatch, and aerated to relieve compaction and helping promote healthy growing conditions for the lawn.
Scarification and aeration are included in both our Standard and Premier lawn care programmes.
